Lankans steamroll Scotland for 148-run victory
Sangakkara became the first batsman to hit four consecutive one-day centuries as Sri Lanka scored 363 for nine in the World Cup Pool A match. He was ably assisted by Dilshan, who scored 104 and the pair piled up 195 runs in the second wicket.
In reply, the Scotland batting line up folded up scoring only 215 runs with 6 overs and five balls to spare.
Sri Lanka have already qualified for the quarter-finals, while Scotland are out of the race with four successive defeats. With this win Sri Lanka have now moved to the second spot in their pool at least for the moment.
For Scotland Freddie Coleman was the top scorer with 70 while skipper Preston Mommsen scored 60. Most of their batsmen fell to the brilliant Nuwan Kulasekara (3/20), Lasith Malinga (2/29) and Dushmanta Chameera (3/51).
