Paris/IBNS: Lakshya Sen Friday created history by becoming the first-ever Indian male badminton player to enter the Olympics semis.

He won the third game by a huge margin against Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien-chen at 21-12.

After Chou Tien Chen won a thrilling first game 21-19, Sen cliched the second and the decider third game to secure his historic berth in the semis.

Sen marched into the last 8 after defeating compatriot HS Prannoy 21-12, 21-6 in the Round of 16 match.

He is India's only remaining hope for a badminton medal from Paris.
