India batter and Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2023 due to an injury, media reports said.

Rahul was injured in his right leg while chasing a ball during Lucknow Super Giants-Royal Challengers Bangalore match on Monday.

LSG will have to find a new skipper in the match against Chennai Super Kings set to be played on Wednesday.

Rahul, who will be watching today's match, will be flown to Mumbai for scans by the Indian cricket board (BCCI).

The right-handed batter will be facing a challenge to recover from the injury ahead of the World Test Championship final against Australia to be played from Jun 7 to 11.
