Kolkata, May 24 (IBNS): Gautam Gambhir and his men have learnt the art of winning consecutive matches quite well this season as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by four wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Saturday.

Riding on Yusuf Pathan's blistering 22-ball 72 runs, which mesmerised the crowd in the stadium, KKR reached the target of 161 runs by losing six wickets with 34 balls to spare.

With a strike rate over 300, Pathan butchered the Hyderabad bowling attack as he smashed five boundaries and seven sixes in his knock.

Skipper Gautam Gambhir (28) and Robin Uthappa (41) earlier gave KKR a solid start.

After Pathan was dismissed in the 14th over, the task was nearly done as

Suryakumar Yadav  (12*) and R Vinay Kumar (0*) reached the   target for KKR.

Karn Sharma picked up four wickets for Hyderbad.

Earlier, Hyderabad posted 160 for seven in 20 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan and Darren Sammy remained the top scorers for the side with their 29 run-knocks.

None of the Hyderabad batsmen managed to reached the 30-run mark.

Morne Morkel, R Vinay Kumar, Shakib Al Hasan and Ryan ten Doeschate picked up a wicket each for KKR.

KKR moved to the second spot in the list with this victory.
