Jammu and Kashmir: Over 200 athletes participate in sports events under 'My Youth My Pride' programme

Jammu: More than 200 athletes, who are belonging to different age groups, participated in sports events organised under 'My Youth My Pride' programme Phase-3 by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council here at Maulana Azad Stadium.

The events were organised on Sunday to motivate Women participation under the supervision of Divisional Sports Officer (J) Ashok Singh Jamwal, Manager M A Stadium Jammu, Satpal Singh and District Jammu organizing Committee officials comprising Pawan Deep Kour, ( Athletics Coach), Vinay Sharma (Senior Handball Coach ), Rachna Jamwal (Senior Fencing Coach), Ritika Slathia (Senior Judo Coach), Divum Gupta (Badminton Mentor), Dalvinder Singh (Hockey Coach) and Vakil Singh (Assistant Manager) M A stadium Jammu.

During the programme, 3 kilometers, Under 20 -(Women), 5 Kilometer (Women) walk open catagory, 60 Meters Under -10 Boys & Girls and 80 Meters Under 14 girls were organised.

In 3 KM event, Giya Manhas claimed top slot followed by Yashwani and Diamond.

In 5-km walk, Jyoti Singh stood first while Soniya Jain and Sheetal won second and third places respectively.

Meanwhile, several spectators also attended the occasion.
