India kept the series hope alive by managing a sensational draw against England in Manchester in the fourth Test match of the ongoing series on Sunday.

India can only manage a series draw by winning the last Test match against the hosts.

England is currently leading the series 2-1.

Fighting desperately to deny England a win and helping Ben Stokes and his men to clinch the series 3-1, Indian batsmen, especially Washington Sundar (101*) and Ravindra Jadeja (107*), added 203 unbroken partnership to keep a slim ray of hope alive for India to level the series.

Jadeja, who was dropped on the very first ball he faced, did not give a chance to England to bounce back into the game.

Skipper Shubman Gill continued his strong form in the series and hammered a masterclass 103 runs knock.

With 89 runs behind and more than two sessions to play, Indians batsmen had a tough challenge to face on the fifth and final day.

The tourists, at the end of the match which ended without a result, after playing five sessions, managed to scored 425-4.

Apart from Gill, India only lost the wicket of KL Rahul on Sunday. He scored 90.

Chris Woakes picked up two wickets for England.
