Istvan Peni wins the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Final in New Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 24 (IBNS): Hungary’s 22-year old Istvan Peni won today’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men Final at the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in New Delhi, India.

He scored 459.1 points to finish atop of the scoreboard.

Silver went to Rio 2016 Silver medalist Sergey Kamenskiy, 31, of the Russian Federation, with 459.0 points. The Russian shooter finished behind the winner by 0.1 points, a thin hair of difference, on a 50m rifle target.

Italy’s Marco De Nicolo followed in Bronze position, with 444.5 points.

The two Tokyo 2020 Quota Places up for grabs went to Istavn Peni and Marco De Nicolo, as Kamenskiy had already secured one at last year’s ISSF World Championship.
