IPL: KKR defeat CSK by 8 wickets

Kolkata, May 20 (IBNS) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets to maintain their recent dominance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Tuesday.

Chasing CSK's 154 for two, KKR reached 156 by losing two wickets in their home turf.

Robin Uthappa maintained his goof form in the tournament and scored 30-ball 67. He hammered 10 boundaries and a six in his knock.

He has been performing well in the tournament with his bat so far.

Gautam Gambhir contributed 21 runs with his willow.

After the loss of both the openers, Manish Pandey (18*) and Shakib Al Hasan (46*) added 58 runs in the third wicket partnership to win the match.

Ishwar Pandey and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each while the CSK bowlers went for runs.

Earlier, CSK posted 154 runs for four in 20 overs.

Suresh Raina remained the top scorer for the side with his 65.

Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins and Piyush Chawla took one wicket each.
