Manan Vohra (25) and Wriddhiman Saha (27) got the start but could not convert them into big scores.
David Miller (29) and skipper George Bailey (26) added 60 runs in the fifth wicket partnership to post the competitive total on the scorecard.
Rahul Tewatia, James Faulkner and Vikramjeet Malik picked up a wicket each for Rajasthan.
Rajasthan in reply scored 162 for nine in 20 overs.
Faulkner remained the top scorer for the side with his unbeaten 35.
He hit four sixes and a boundary in his 13-ball knock.
Akshar Patel picked up three wickets for Punjab.
