Chennai, Dec 19 (IBNS): India's Karun Nair piled on the misery for the English bowlers along with Ravichandran Ashwin as they duo forged an unbeaten century-run stand for the sixth wicket as the home side extended their lead to 105 runs, here on Monday, day four of the fifth and final Test match.

At tea, India have put on 582 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Karun Nair, having gone past his century in the morning session, put on the accelerator to shift momentum towards India.

Ashwin, having survived the early jitters, settled down well to complete another half century in Test cricket, his tenth.

Nair (195) and Ashwin (54) will resume their respective innings when play starts in the next session.
