Indian skipper Virat Kohli turns 30, cricketers wish him

New Delhi, Nov 5 (IBNS): Indian skipper and run machine Virat Kohli turned 30 on Monday as people from the world of cricket wished the batsman on the special day.

Virat was born in 1988 to Prem and Saroj Kohli in Delhi.

Kohli has cherished a wonderful year on the field this year and specially in ODIs as he became the fastest batsman to surpass the 10,000 run-mark. 

He hit three consecutive tons in the first three ODI matches against West Indies in the recently concluded series.

Kohli also captained the side to series victories in Test and ODIs against he same opponent.

He has been rested for the T20 series.

In the ongoing year, Kohli has smashed 1202 runs at an average of 133.55 in 14 innings.

Cricketers wish Kohli: Ex-Indian cricketer VVS Laxman said: "Wishing @imVkohli lots of success and fulfillment in the coming year. #HappyBirthdayVirat."

Indian cricket board BCCI tweeted: "To many more match-winning knocks, here's wishing #TeamIndia Captain and Run Machine @imVkohli a very happy birthday  #HappyBirthdayVK."

Cricketer Mohammad Kaif greeted Kohli by posting: "With a magic stick in his hand, he brings us all to a standstill. A man who is redefining consistency and hunger to do well, wish you the very best times ahead @imVkohli and have a
#HappyBirthdayVirat.
