India wishes players after they beat Pakistan in Asia Cup match

New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS): Indian Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore‏ on Sunday congratulated the Indian hockey team for beating Pakistan in a group stage match of the Asia Cup.

India beat Pakistan by 3-1 margin in the match.

Rathore tweeted: "CONGRATS @TheHockeyIndia! Speldid performance and a thoroughly well-deserved victory! #AsiaCup2017 #INDvPAK."

Apart from Rathore, sports personalities and Bollywood celebrities also wished the team after the memorable victory.

Former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar wished: "Splendid effort by the #MenInBlue! What a start to the festive season. Thanks, @TheHockeyIndia for putting a big smile to our face #INDvPAK ."

Former cricketer Virender Sehwag greeted: "Congratulations India on beating Pakistan 3-1 in #AsiaCup2017 #INDvPAK . Thank you for the advance diwali gift @TheHockeyIndia."

Ex-cricketer VVS Laxman said: "Wonderful effort from @TheHockeyIndia to beat Pakistan 3-1 in Asia Cup Hockey. The whole nation is proud of you. #INDvPAK."

Indian shooter Gagan Narang tweeted: "Congratulations @TheHockeyIndia! What a spirited display by the boys in blue #AsiaCup2017 #INDvPAK."

Actor Vivek Oberoi posted: "Congratulations Team India on a fantastic victory. You have done it once again. We are all so proud of u. Jai Hind. @TheHockeyIndia #INDvPAK."
