India to play limited overs series against Australia in 2016

Sydney, July 9 (IBNS): India will visit Australia next year to play five One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals against the current World Champions.

"World Cup semi-finalists India will tour Australia for five one-day internationals and three T20 matches in January 2016, with Australia Day cricket confirmed to return to the Adelaide Oval," read the Cricket Australia website,
India and Australia had faced each other in the World Cup semi-finals this year.

Australia defeated India to reach the final where they defeated New Zealand to clinch the 50-over trophy for the fourth time.

"These teams met in the semi-final of the World Cup in a match which saw more than 300 million fans watching on Star TV in India, and we want to continue to build a strong rivalry which will be on show throughout the summer," Cricket Australia Executive General Manager of Operations Mike McKenna was quoted as saying by the board's website.
