Cape Town/IBNS: A sudden collapse by India's middle and lower-middle order batting order dashed the visitors' hope to gain the most out of South Africa's poor first innings total of 55 in the second Test here on Wednesday.

From 153/4, India added no run but lost the remaining six wickets to get bowled out.

Among the wickets were the one of Virat Kohli, who was the top scorer for India with 46 off 59 balls.

The last five players of the batting order were sent back to the dressing room for ducks.

Earlier, Mohammed Siraj's 6/15 reduced South Africa to an embarrassing total of 55.

South Africa are leading the two-match series 1-0.
