India pick up three wickets as England look to extend total

Chennai, Dec 17 (IBNS): The Indian bowlers picked up three wickets to keep England at check here on Saturday, day two of the fifth and final Test match.

At lunch, England have put on 352 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

England lost Ben Stokes (6) early in the day as Ashwin got one to turn sharply, accounting for the southpaw's wicket yet again.

Jos Buttler was the next to depart for 5, trapped in front by pacer Ishant Sharma.

After a couple of missed chances, Moeen Ali, who made a statement on day one with a defiant hundred, fell prey to the short ball.

Ali was set up by Umesh Yadav, who bounced him out after the former failed to keep the ball on the ground.

Debutant Liam Dawson (27) and Adil Rashid (8) are at the crease and will resume their innings when play starts in the second session.
