Mumbai, Dec 10 (IBNS): Following a fruitful first session, India lost as many as four wickets to give England some respite here on Saturday, day three of the fourth Test match.

Even with the collapse at the end, Indian skipper Virat Kohli steadied nerves in the home camp, playing his strokes, as he inched closer towards another Test hundred.

Kohli is unbeaten on 83 runs, while Ravindra Jadeja will resume innings on 22 runs.

At tea, India have managed to put on 348 runs for the loss of six wickets.

The home team now trail by 52 runs.

Following the start of the session, Murali Vijay (136) departed, trying to slog Rashid.

His departure ended a 116-run partnership between Vijay and Kohli.

Karun Nair (13), Parthiv Patel (15) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0) followed suit as Ali (1) and Joe Root (2) accounted for them.

The Jadeja Kohli partnership has added 41 runs.
