Birmingham, July 2 (IBNS): India beat Bangladesh by 28 runs and became the second team to enter the Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-finals after Australia.

Batting first, India had a cracker of a start with K.L. Rahul scoring a solid 77 off 92 balls and Rohit Sharma scoring his fourth century in this world cup. He made 104 off 92 balls.

Though India couldn't sustain this momentum, Kohli's team still ended up with a formidable 314/9 at the end of 50 overs.

Mustafizur Rahman picked up five wickets conceding 59 runs.

Bangladesh gave a tough fight and the game looked like it could go either way till the last wicket fell in the 48th over.

India's highest wicket-taker of the match was Bumrah with figures of 4/55.
