Improved India keen to build on momentum against Maldives in semis

Kathmandu, Sept 26 (UNI): An improved India stay keen on sustaining the momentum as they take on a strong Maldives in the semi-final of the SAFF U-18 Championships here on Friday.

India, who were held to a goalless draw by Bangladesh, accounted for Sri Lanka 3-0 in their last group league match, the last two goals coming in added time.

“I am happy with the performance against Sri Lanka. We would like to stay with our improvements in the semi-final against Maldives who konocked out hosts and defending champions Nepal which speaks about their strength as they are physically and technically better than Sri Lanka and it’s going to be a big challenge for us Head Coach Floyd Pinto added."
