Cape Town, Feb 17 (IBNS): Indian skipper Viart Kohli on Saturday said he will try to make most of the eight or nine years left in his playing career.

"I've got eight or nine years left in my career, so I'm going to make the most of it" BCCI tweeted quoting Kohli.

Kohli said captaining for the team was an 'honour' for him.

"There's no bigger honour than captaining your country. I put my head down and kept working hard every day," Kohli said.

He appreciated the performance of young spinners  Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the ODI series against South Africa.

" The guys have shown a lot of character, particularly the two young spinners," Kohli said.

India defeated South Africa in the final ODI to clinch the series 5-1.
