IGU East Zone: Irfan & Bibek Tied at Royal Juniors Open

Kolkata, May 7 (IBNS): Local lad Irfan Ali Mollah & Bibek Sardar shot 6 over to the top of the leader board in the opening round of the Royal Junior Open, the Third leg of the Tata Steel IGU East Zone Junior Tour being played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club here on Wednesday.

Udayjit Bhalotia & Niskarsh Sachdeva are tied third at the total of 79 one stroke behind the leader in category (A & B) and Hasan Rahman Khandokar with the score of 80 at the fifth place.

In Category C, it was Sandeep Yadav who took the lead of 4 strokes with the second place Rajib Ali with a total of 11 over 83 while Abhikanks Basu  was third with an aggregate of 100.

Joysurjo Deb & Rayyan Habib  are tied in Category D when they shot a 24-over par 96. Pranshu Poddar, Suveer Kapoor and Raunak Mitra were tied third at 98.

Susnata Deb toped the Girls Junior with 25 over par 97 while Marshneil Prasad was second with an aggregate of 113.

Yashodhara Bhalotia and Sanaya Tulsyan Singh were leading in Girls category C & D respectively with 103 and 101.

Maitreya Milan Saikh topped the Category E with a total of 50 while Garv Lakhmani was second. Gurmehar Singh Bindra was third.
