ICC World T20: Pakistan beat SL

Kolkata, Mar 14 (IBNS) Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 15 runs in a practice match before the World T20 here on Monday.

After posting 157 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs, Pakistan bowlers restricted their opponents at  142 for nine.

Mohammad Hafeez smashed am unbeaten 70 to help Pakistan post a competitive score on the board.

Hafeez scored nine boundaries and six in his knock.

Thisara Perera picked up two wickets for Sri Lanka.

Current champions Sri Lanka could not reach the target and were restricted at 142.

Lahiru Thirimanne remained the top scorer for Sri Lanka with his fighting 45.
