Hoping to continue the performance: Jwala Gutta

Calgary, June 29 (IBNS): Wining the Canada Open Grand Prix title, Indian badminton star Jwala Gutta on Monday said she hopes to continue her performance in the upcoming days.

In her Facebook page, she wrote: "Won the Canada Open Championships smile emoticon it's a great feeling and I would like to thank you all for the tremendous love and support . It keeps us motivated smile emoticon thank you Ashwini Ponnappa !!"

"I take the opportunity to thank you all for the tremendous love and support you have showered on us. It feels great to stand on the wining podium. Hoping to continue the performance and keep up the run," she said.

Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa clinched the Canada Open Grand Prix by beating Eefje Muskens and Selena Piek in the final of the tournament here.

The Indian pair defeated their Dutch opponents by 21-19 21-16.

Ashwini Ponnappa wrote on her Facebook page:"We won!!!!! Yaaaayyyy !!! Happy moment !!! Thank u all for the amazing love and support !!! Meant a lot !!! Thank u so much !!!"
