New Delhi, June 1 (IBNS) : Historian Ramchanda Guha has resigned as a member of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI), reports said.

Guha told the Supreme Court on Thursday that he has tendered his resignation to Vinod Rai, the Chairman of the Committee of Administrators appointed by the apex court.

CoA was appointed by the Supreme Court in January, 2017 to oversee the administration of BCCI and implement the Laodha committee recommendations.

Guha has reportedly cited personal reasons  for the resignation.

The Supreme Court will hear Ramachandra Guha’s plea to relieve him on July 14.

The Supreme Court had named former comptroller and auditor general of India Vinod Rai, eminent historian Ramachandra Guha, financial executive Vikram Limaye and former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team Diana Edulji as administrators who were expected to look after the day-to-day functioning of the BCCI.
