Sharjah, Oct 15 (IBNS):  Hazratullah Zazai has emerged as the first Afghan batsman ever to hammer six sixes in an over in the arena of international cricket.

Hazratullah Zazai achieved it while playing in a T20 match for Kabul Zwanan against the Balkh Legends in a Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League at Sharjah.

West Indies’ Sir Garry Sobers, India’s Ravi Shastri, South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs, India’s Yuvraj Singh and England’s Ross Whiteley had earlier touched similar achievements.

He is the sixth player to achieve it.

The Afghanistani batsman hit spinner Abdullah Mazari for 36 runs in an over in his 17-ball 62 runs knock.

“I was just trying to play my natural game and did not in any way think of outshining anyone. It’s a proud moment for me that my name is now linked to so many big names,” he was quoted as saying by Pajhwok Afghan News.
