Gurkirat Singh stakes claim at the Royal Juniors Open 2015
The event, which has seen a record breaking 106 entries, saw Md Rohit placed second with a four-over par 76 followed by another local Gurshaan Singh Grewal in third a further two strokes behind tied with Suryasikhar Bose.
Gurkirat, who started from the tenth tee, began with a par before quickly going under with a birdie on the 11th hole of the golf course. A hattrick of pars followed before he gained another stroke on the 16th hole of the golf course before a double bogey on the 18th brought him back to even-par for the round as he took the turn. His back nine, the front nine of the golf course, began with a bogey, which he duly cancelled out with a birdie on the second hole of the golf course. He would finish bogey-birdie-bogey to card a 73.
“Its great to be leading today as this is my first event of the season and look forward to closing out a win tomorrow.” Said the leader, Gurkirat.

Chitrangada Singh leads the Category C with a nine-over par 81 with Sanaya Tulsyan a mile behind at 92.
