Glenn Maxwell axed from Australia's ODI squad against SL

Sydney, July 31 (IBNS): Australian selectors have dropped cricketer Glenn Maxwell from the ODI side that will clash against Sri Lanka.

Australia and Sri Lanka will play five ODIs.

Steve Smith has been named the skipper of the 15-men squad.

"Obviously I'm disappointed to miss out on the squad but I've had some good chats to (selectors) Rod (Marsh) and Trevor (Hohns),” Maxwell told cricket.com.au.
