Former Indian spinner  Sunil Joshi appointed chairman of selectors

Mumbai/IBNS: Ahead of the crucial cricket season ahead, which will witness India participating in the World T20, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced that the 3-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) recommended the names of former cricketers Sunil Joshi and Harvinder Singh for roles in All-India Senior Selection Committee, media reports said.

India Today reported that the CAC has recommended Sunil Joshi, former India spinner, for the role of Chairman of the senior men's selection committee.

Former Indian spinner Sunil Joshi, who was known for his batting skills as well, will replace MSK Prasad as the chairman of the selection committee.

Joshi had played 15 Tests and 69 ODIs between 1996 and 2001 for India.

In his playing career, Harvinder Singh played 3 Tests and 16 ODIs from 1998 to 2001 for the national side.
