EB win Calcutta Football League title

Kolkata, Sept 16 (IBNS): East Bengal defeated Tollygunge Agragami 2-1 to clinch the Calcutta Football League Premier Division title for the 36th time here on Tuesday.

Prolhad Roy and Nigerian striker Ranti Martins scored for East Bengal.

Bello Rassaq scored the only goal for the opponent side.

With 25 points, the Kolkatra-giants stood first in the tournament.

Tollygunge finished third with 22 points.

India cricketing icon Sourav Ganguly, who is the co-owner of Atlético de Kolkata side, on Tuesday  took penalty shots at a fan engagement initiative of the club at the iconic Saltlake Stadium in Kolkata during clash between East Bengal Club and Tollygunge Agragami.
