Dushmantha Chameera to replace injured Dhammika Prasad

Colombo, Feb 9 (IBNS) The Sri Lankan Cricket on Monday said Dushmantha Chameera will replace injured Dhammika Prasad in World Cup side.

"Dhammika Prasad will not be in a position to represent the World Cup squad for the upcoming 2015 ICC WC owing to the injuries received by him during practice," the  Sri Lankan Cricket said in a statement.

"Hence the Selection Committee in consultation with the Team Management has approved to include Dushmantha Chameera in place of Dhammika Prasad in the above squad subject to receiving the ICC Technical Committee’s approval in this regard. The Hon.Minister has approved same,"  it said.

The World Cup will commence from Feb 14.
