New Delhi, Sept 11 (IBNS): Delhi Dynamos announced Serginho Greene’s signing at the Bravida Arena while the team was playing their friendly against BK Hacken, a top tier European team.

As a surprise, the player also played the second half of the game. For those who were not in the arena, the whole match was live streamed on the newly launched DDFC website: www.delhidynamos.com. Fans in India watched this game for free while the international fans had to pay to watch the game.

Greene is versatile player and can play almost in any defensive role which makes him a key player for the team. Not only does he have a flaming drive for winning games and a brave personality, he is also quick on his feet and has excellent decision making characteristics.

“Serginho is a great addition to team. Roberto was convinced that he was the right man to fill the missing position. He also made a great presentation in Braveda arena where he played like a lion,” said the club’s president Prashant Agarwal.

The Dutchman started his youth career at Ajax and flourished there to make a mark there. Later on, he moved to big ticket clubs like Feyenoord, Vitesse and Haarlem. Greene was also a member of the Netherlands U-16 and U-21 football teams, which is commendable.

“He is a young player who is willing to learn and grow as a player. His speed will help us a lot as a team and I am very happy about his signing,” said the team’s manager Roberto Carlos.
