CWG: India beat New Zealand to reach Hockey final
Glasgow, Aug 2 (IBNS) India cruised to the final of the 20th Commonwealth Games by beating New Zealand 3-2 here on Saturday.
India came from two goals down to edge out New Zealand in the semi-final clash.
Simon Child scored the first goal for New Zealand to give the side a 1-0 lead.
Nick Haig doubled the lead in the 18th minute as Indian supporters started losing hopes at that point.
With already two goals behind, India bounced back strongly with Rupinder Singh scoring the first goal via a penalty stroke n the 28th minute.
Ramandeep scored the equaliser in the 42nd minute.
India scored another to book a final berth where the Asian nation will face Australia.
