Cricket betting racket busted in Ahmedabad, 10 nabbed

Ahmedabad/UNI: Ten people were arrested on Saturday from a flat in South Bopal locality here for running a cricket betting racket, police said.

According to police, 88 phones, five laptops and two LCD TVs were seized from the spot.

On a tip off, a raid was conducted on a flat and the main operator of the betting racket Dhaval Thakkar was arrested.


They were booking bets via some of their aides in Deesa town of North Gujarat on Bangladesh Premier League match.


They have also admitted to have done betting on the recently held two India-West Indies T 20 matches.
