Sydney/London, Aug 18 (IBNS): Australian cricketer Chris Rogers on Tuesday said he will retire from Test after the ongoing Ashes series.

"I have had an amazing couple of years playing for Australia and enjoyed it and been part of some pretty special things, but everything comes to an end," Rogers  was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au at the team's London hotel.

"You are never 100 per cent sure, but I felt like this (Test starting at The Oval on Thursday) was the last one," he said.

"It's time for Australian cricket to make a few changes and bring in a few new guys, a few fresh faces," the cricketer said.

He is preparing for the 25th and last Test match of his career.

He has scored 1972 runs in 24 Tests so far.
