Captaining in the IPL is a lot easier: Kohli

Kolkata, Apr 10 (IBNS) Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virt Kohli on Friday said he feels that captaining in the Indian Premier league (IPL) is 'lot easier'.

“Captaining in the IPL is a lot easier, often you play with players who are captains of their respective national sides," Kohli said here.

When quizzed about his team’s preparation ahead of their first game, he said, “The team is feeling great, we have prepared well. We are in great shape and not too worried about other things.”

Kohli said he is looking at one game at a time.

He said, “We have a lot of games to play, it’s too far-fetched to look ahead, we have got to take one game at a time.”

On his current form he commented, “I like to perform consistently. In my head I’m feeling more confident now than I’ve felt in my whole life.”

Slamming his critics over the recent remarks made against him following his poor performance against Australia in the World Cup semi final, Kohli said: "Well, I’ve been performing for the last five years. I have helped the team win matches on numerous occasions. It was very disappointing to see the crowd’s reaction. These are the times when you get to know your true supporters, people who stick with you through thick and thin.”

Kohli made the remarks during an event in Kolkata.

Midea, the home appliances brand of Carrier Midea India Pvt. Ltd. has forged a new partnership with the Royal Challengers Bangalore team as its official Home Appliances Partner.
