Kolkata, Oct 28 (IBNS) In the play off match for the third place, three times winners Brazil beat last year’s finalist Mali 2-0 to finish third in the ongoing U 17 World Cup Football championship at Vibekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan here Saturday evening.

Midfielders Alan and Yuri Alberto, who came in the second half, scored the goals in the 57th and 77th minute of the game.

It was Mali who dominated the proceedings, specially in the first half and made several goal bound moves; but ailed to finish any of them.

Mali keeper Youssouf Koita was also responsible for the first goal as he failed to hold an easy shot and let go through its hands.

Mali finished 4th in the championship.
