Biplab Sangha win the Kolkata leg of Red Bull Winning 5

Kolkata, Dec 14 (IBNS) Biplab Sangha of Kolkata emerged victorious in the final of the Red Bull Winning 5, beating Youth Forum, here on Sunday at the BA-CA ground in Salt lake City.

The Winning 5, a five a side soccer tournament had participants from 84 teams. According to the rules, no goalkeepers were allowed, as the teams battled hard for 10 minutes to score a goal. With each goal conceded, a team had to eliminate a member, decided by the opponent captain. 

The final went down to the wire and as no winners were decided after the usual length of play, a penalty shootout was called for where Biplab Sangha pipped Youth Forum 3-2, to qualify from the Kolkata leg.
