Bengal pacer Akash Deep earns maiden Test call-up for England series

Kolkata/UNI: Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Saturday expressed happiness at the inclusion of Bengal star pacer Akash Deep for his maiden Test call-up for India's remaining three matches against England.

The 27-year-old has been rewarded for his excellent performance recently for India A against England Lions, where he bagged 11 wickets in two unofficial Test matches.

The right-arm pacer, who has 103 wickets in 29 first-class matches so far, has also been superb with the ball for Bengal during the domestic season.

The Men’s Selection Committee announced India’s squad for the final three Tests of the series against England.

Besides Akash Deep, another star pacer from Bengal, Mukesh Kumar, is also part of the squad.
