BCCI drops Yuvi, Gautam from contract list

Mumbai, Dec 22 (IBNS): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday dropped senior cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir from its contracts list.

The board has promoted pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar to a Grade A contract.

Mohammed Shami, Ambati Rayudu and Ajinkya Rahane  have got a place in the Grade B list.

The BCCI has announced the list of its contracted players for 2014 – 15.

BCCI Secretary  Sanjay Patel said in a statement: "Such players who are not in the lists will be placed in Grade C as and when they represent India in Tests / ODIs / T20 Internationals during this season."

Singh and Gambhir were recently dropped  left out of the 30-member preliminary squad for the 2015 World Cup

The grade-wise list is as follows:

GRADE A


M S Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, R Ashwin & Bhuvneshwar Kumar

GRADE B

Pragyan Ojha, M. Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu & Md. Shami.
   
GRADE C

Amit Mishra, Varun Aaron, Wriddhiman Saha, Stuart Binny, Pankaj Singh, R. Vinay Kumar, Mohit Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni, Parveez Rasool, Axar Patel, Manoj Tiwary, Robin Uthappa, Karn Sharma, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav & K L Rahul.
