Australia 76/2 at lunch on day 1 against India in Nagpur

Nagpur/IBNS: Australia recovered from early setbacks to score 76/2 till lunch on the first day of the inaugural Test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against India here on Thursday.

Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami led the Indian pace attack to pick two early wickets in the second and third overs of the match.

While Siraj dismissed Khawaja for one, Shami bowled out the mighty David Warner for a single.

Marnus Labuschagne (47 not out off 110 balls) and Steven Smith (19 not out off 74 balls) recovered the innings to post a respectable figure at lunch.

India's T20 star batter Suryakumar Yadav and wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat made their debut for India on Thursday.
