Atlético de Kolkata celebrates ‘ISL Scouting Festival’ with Reliance Foundation Young Champs for the 3rd Edition

Kolkata, Apr 7 (IBNS): Assuring their allegiance and loyalty towards a sustainable growth of football in India, Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) is back with their 3rd edition of residential football scholarship along with Atlético de Kolkata at Bidhannagar Municipal Sports Complex ground.

A well-thought-out club scouting program for the age group of 11 to 14 is implemented to attract young players across Bengal mentored by Mr. Bastab Roy, Assistant Coach, Atlético de Kolkata and is scheduled to kick off on Friday.

The programme currently hosts 121 promising talents selected out of relentless grassroots screening from interiors of North and South of Bengal at its Kolkata facility. The scouting programme aims to provide a platform at par with international standards. Piet Hubers, Technical Director, ISL Grassroots and Mark Veassen, Head Coach RFYC will lead the team to identify talents for RFYC’s third batch.

The programme will include identifying and evaluating technical skills in combination with warm up, position play followed by small sided game 4 vs. 4 or 5 vs. 5 and 7 vs. 7.
