Asian Boxing Championship: SSB woman constable Lalbautsahi wins silver

New Delhi/UNI: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Monday said that its woman constable Lalbuatsaihi has won a silver medal on Sunday in the 64 kg category at the Asian Boxing Championship held in Dubai.

This international boxing championship was conducted between May 21 to June 1.

SSB wrestler Lalbuatsaihi faced Milana Saltrono of Kazakhstan in the final bout, the SSB spokesperson said while adding that Kuwait and Uzbekistan won Bronze Medal.

The Asian Boxing Championship has an attendance of 150 boxers in men and women’s categories giving a prize fund of USD 4,00,000.

Over 17 nations are represented at the tournament, including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Laos, Mongolia, Philippines, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.
