Alaister Cook breaks Sachin's record, reaches 10,000 runs in Tests
Reaching five on the fourth day of the second Test, the England skipper touched the record.
Aged 31 years, 5 months, 5 days, Cook beat Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar's record of touching the 10,000 runs feat at the age of 31 years, 10 months and 20 days.
Former England captain Paul Collingwood tweeted: "Serious achievement be Cooky, @englandcricket legend already. Was a pleasure to bat behind, usually with pad rash #EngvSL #History #record."
