2nd Test: Australia take 175 runs lead against India

Perth, Dec 16 (IBNS): Taking a lead of 175 runs, Australia dominated the third day of the second Test match against India here on Sunday.

Australia ended the day at 132 runs for the loss of four wickets at stumps.

Aaron Finch retired hurt after contributing 25 runs with his willow, giving the homeside a scare for the upcoming matches of the series.

Harris (20), Shaun March (5), Head (19) and Handscomb (13) have departed.

Tim Paine (8*) and Usman Khawaja (41*) are currently at the crease and resume proceedings for Australia.

Indian pacer Shami has picked up two wickets for India.

India will need to take six more wickets fast on Monday to give some hopes to the batsmen to reach the target.

Earlier, India were bowled out for 283 runs.

Virat Kohli remained the only shining figure in the innings as he scored 123 runs.

India are currently 1-0 up in the series.
