2000 participants from SAI, NSS and NYKS to take part in“Run for Unity”

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IBNS): Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports would participate in “Run for Unity” on Oct 31, as part of observance of “RashtriyaEktaDiwas” (National Unity Day)along with 2000 participants from Sports Authority of India (SAI), National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) at India Gate, NewDelhi.

Sports Celebrities namely  Zafar Iqbal (Olympian, Hockey), Mary Kom (Olympian, Boxing),Sharad (Para Athelete), Dipa K Karmakar(Gymnastic), Abhishek Verma(Archery) and Sonia Lather will take part in the “Run”, read a government statement.

Major Dhyanchand National Stadium has geared up for conducting the “Run for Unity”.

The Ministry has arranged 2000 T-Shirts for the participants and a Flag for “Flag Off for the Run”.
