Indian cricket star and 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh recently expressed his desire to see actor Ranbir Kapoor play the lead role in his biopic.

"Recently I saw Animal and Ranbir was fantastic in it," Yuvraj Singh told media in Kolkata when he was asked about the probable actor whom he wants to see playing his character in the biopic.

"He played a very powerful role in the movie," he said.

Yuvraj Singh, however, said it is the director who takes the final decision in selecting the actor who is perfectly suitable to play the role in the movie.

All-rounder and cancer survivor Yuvraj Singh played a pivotal role in India's T20 World Cup victory in 2007 and 50-over World Cup triumph in 2011.

Ranbir Kapoor and Animal success

Ranbir Kapoor played the lead role in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal which was released in December and caught the attention of critics and movie buffs in no time.

A certain section of the audience accused the film of promoting misogyny, violence and infidelity.

Despite mixed reviews, the movie set the Box Office on fire and crossed the Rs. 900 crore global box office collection mark on its 42nd day of release recently.
