You are our pride: Amitabh Bachchan after India's heartbreak in World Cup final

The Indian cricket team could not overpower Australia for the second time in a World Cup final and the latest occasion was held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

India, who were the best team in this edition of the World Cup until the final, on Sunday failed to dominate with batting getting bowled out for 240 in 50 overs.

Though the Indian pace battery looked fierce in the opening overs picking three Australian wickets, the visitors silenced the crowd when Travid Head (137 off 120 balls) and Marnus Labuschagne (58 not out off 110 balls) took the team to home.

As people in the country are yet to get over the heartbreak, acting legend Amitabh Bachchan, a close follower of cricket, backed Rohit Sharma's team in the times of distress.

In a moral boost for the men in blue, Bachchan wrote in an Instagram post, "…. NO NO NO .. TEAM INDIA .. not OFF yet .. you are our pride .. you are the heart where the hand rests .."

India had qualified for the final winning all 10 matches they had played until the ultimate clash in the tournament.
