Yash Raj Films releases Byomkesh Bakshy's Pre-Teaser On Vine
To titillate their fans, YRF released three six second pre-teaser videos of Sushant Singh Rajput starrer “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy” on Vine as clues leading to the midnight release of the teaser.
This marks a one-of-its kind teaser innovation using digital as a platform. Riding on #ExpectTheUnexpected as the central theme, these six seconder videos gave out different aspects of the teaser – war, mystery, detective!
As Vine has been acquired by Twitter, the micro-blogging site appreciated the creative use of the platform too. Pratiksha Rao, Head of TV& Entertainment, Twitter India, said: “Users across the world have innovated on Vine in very interesting and unique ways by using the the loop of six seconds of video creatively. We are delighted to see the creative use of Vine by Yash Raj Films to provide movie fans an exclusive glimpse of their upcoming production."
Since majority of the crimes happen in the middle of the night, the makers took a strategic decision of releasing the teaser at midnight. A teaser like a teaser should be!
Sushant Singh Rajput will essay the lead role and will be pitted against an evil genius, who is out to destroy the world. Presented by Yash Raj Films, “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy” has been directed and produced by Dibakar Banerjee, and is slated to release on 13thFebruary 2015.
