Yash Raj Films is now YouTube billionaire
Mumbai, Oct 30 (IBNS): After giving several blockbusters and breaking many box-office records, Yash Raj Films has now crossed yet another milestone. The official YouTube channel of the banner (www.YouTube.com/YRF) has now crossed over one billion views.
The channel is currently home to 4,000 plus videos.
Going by the official statistics, YRF YouTube Channel ranks 1st in India, in the Film & Animation Category for most number of channel video views and channel subscribers.
Speaking on the feat, Anand Gurnani, Vice President (Digital), said: “YouTube is a dynamic platform and requires immense perseverance and data analysis to ensure we reach the right audience mix. We place a lot of focus on YouTube trends, video optimization through tags, meta-data and annotations that go a long way in building the channel. YouTube has been one of the key channels of content dissemination for movie marketing and will continue to be for time to come.”
Since its inception, the channel has broadcast a constant stream of new videos.
From massy content and musical hits to new age content like audio-video juke box, lyrical videos, interviews, interesting behind-the-scenes, the channel caters to every fan’s needs. It’s a one stop destination for every movie buff.
YRF YouTube presence is also marked by several sub-channels like YRF Movies, YRF Songs, YRF Trailers, YRF Dialogues, YRF Trivia and some regional channels that service the long tail of consumers and cumulatively add up to the numbers.
YRF YouTube network currently boasts a collection of more than 40 sub channels and over 3 million subscribers and is poised to grow in 2015.
