Will have to fight more to get halls for Password release than promotions: Dev

Kolkata: Hinting at a politics prevalent in the Bengali film industry, Tollywood superstar Dev has said he will have to toil more to get cinema halls for his upcoming film Password's release than the promotional activities.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event on Wednesday, Dev said, "I always suffer from getting the cinema halls. I will have to ensure a rescue of my film from the industrial monopoly and politics so that the film reaches the audience. The fight will be more to get the halls than promotions of the film."

Dev, who has acted in a number of SVF films in his career, of late featured more in films made by his own production house Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Password is the latest film of Dev's production house.

Speaking about Password, which deals with cyber crime, the 36-year old actor said, "Hopefully we will be able to promote the film in a new way. The film will be entertaining as well as will it will try to create an awareness through a new concept."

Apart from Dev, Password features Rukmini Maitra, Parambrata Chatterjee and Paoli Dam in the lead roles.

The Kamaleshwar Mukherjee directorial film is slated for October 2 release.
