Kolkata, Dec 25 (IBNS) Intrigued by her role in Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay's ''Mukhomukhi' where her character is pitted against her inner self, 'Chotuskone' actor Payel Sarkar said the way of capturing the contemporary times and relationships have been different in this non-mainstream film by 'Meghe Dhaka Tara' film maker.

"This film, which goes beyond the mainstream format, is an entirely new experience for me where from the set to the dialogues and characterisation, everything is very out of the box, from the ones I had come across in past," the Hindi 'Guddu Ki Gun' actor who starred opposite Sheershak Anand and Shantanu Ray Chhibber, told IBNS on location.

"Here the director made use of a non-specific space and used a theatrical pattern. The characters are all over the place which changes from a residence to a road, but the audience won't have any difficulty in relating to the situations and sequences. I understand may be my words won't be entirely clear to you unless you see how it works on screen. But we all know Kamalda will create the magic again," Payel said.

Stating the film Mukhomukhi  touched on the issue of social degeneration, Payel said "but my character is consumed by the wish to see miracles amid all these."

"As you come face to face with your self and psyche you realise love still blossoms, relationships still exist and the constant conflicts between two individuals as their expectations are not fulfilled a times can only be part of that greater realization," Payel said.

Showering accolades on co-actor Anjan Dutt in the film, she said Anjan-da is the part real-part fantasy Anyo Manush character in the film and from his directorial venture Hemanta (inspired by Hamlet) to this film it was a treat to watch how he brings to the fore the inner struggle of an individual in his portrayals.

Payel, who had also been acclaimed in Arindam Sil's "Egoler Chokh", the sequel of fictional Bengali special branch sleuth Sabar Dasgupta by Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay, described the film making process of two contemporary directors very very different.

The film, which is produced by Natoker Moto and Rupkatha Noy producers Friends Communication, also stars Rajatabha Dutta.
